About Danny
Danny Vaughn is one of the most distinctive voices in melodic rock. As the founding frontman of Tyketto, he burst onto the scene with the band’s 1991 debut album Don’t Come Easy on Geffen Records — a record that has become a benchmark of the genre and still draws new fans over three decades later. Tracks like “Forever Young” became anthems for a generation of rock fans.
Before Tyketto, Danny was the vocalist for Waysted, the band formed by UFO’s Pete Way, appearing on their album Save Your Prayers. After Tyketto’s initial run, he built a rich and varied solo career through his band Vaughn and numerous acoustic projects, earning a devoted following across Europe and beyond.
What sets Danny apart – beyond a voice that can deliver soaring power one moment and heartbreaking intimacy the next — is his connection with audiences. His acoustic shows have become legendary among fans for their warmth, spontaneity and emotional depth. During the COVID lockdown, he performed weekly two-hour acoustic shows from his home in Spain, keeping his community together through music when the world felt at its smallest.
Tyketto reunited permanently in 2008, and the band continues to tour and record. Their new album, Closer to the Sun, is set for release in March 2026. Danny also tours extensively as a solo acoustic artist, performing Tyketto classics, solo material and carefully chosen covers in intimate settings across the UK and Europe.
He has described his acoustic performances simply: people aren’t coming to experience perfection — they’re coming to feel something. And that’s exactly what you’ll get at Steam.
Your Evening at Steam: Your Evening at Steam
This is not a gig in the traditional sense. It’s an intimate, acoustic evening in a private setting — Danny Vaughn performing up close, stripped back to voice and guitar, in a room of people who are there because they love great music.
Expect original material spanning his career with Tyketto and as a solo artist, select covers, and a special tribute performance. There will be moments of raw power, moments of quiet reflection, and the kind of atmosphere that only happens when a world-class performer plays to a small, engaged audience.
This event is by invitation only and will not be advertised publicly beyond Steam’s own guests. It marks the beginning of a new era of live music at Steam Wine Bar, and it’s expected to fill quickly.
Drinks are available to purchase from the bar throughout the evening.
